The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have landed
On the inside it’s a significantly improved device with the main improvements being 4k camera, improved power and a new improved Force Touch interface.
Performance Improvements
Performance of the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is significantly boosted with the new A9 chip deliver 70% faster processing capability and a 90% improvement in graphics performance.
Force Touch
Perhaps the biggest innovation comes in the interface with 3D Force Touch with the clever new display able to detect pressure applied.
This is used to enable to deliver quick shortcuts and also to preview (or “Peak”) into screens without having to fully commit to changing window and then “Pop” them open if you so wish. While, changing apps is also now easier by hard pressing the corner of the screen.
New iSight Camera
The camera which is boosted up to 12 mega-pixels meaning the new iSight camera delivers up to 50 per cent more pixels and promises better colour and image quality than ever before. And it also now supports 4K video recording!
In a novel move the front-facing camera now has a flash, which is achieved in a novel way because the Retina display doubles as a flash delivering an intense burst of light.
While, Apple have also introduced “Live Photos” which turns your photos into life with Apple assuring us it’s not video, but we’re yet to be convinced.
Other Improvements
The new iPhone also comes with support for even faster 4G, yep LTE-A (or LTE-Advanced) and faster WiFi which is now double the speed. It’s also got a new 2nd generation Touch ID sensor and is made from stronger aluminium and has a stronger glass display.
